received her vocal training at the University of Music Franz Liszt in Weimar / Germany. She attended master classes by Christa Ludwig, Françoise Pollet and Brigitte Fassbaender to accomplish her talent. It was namely Brigitte Fassbaender, Kammersängerin and opera director, who in 2007 invited the young mezzo-soprano Anne to join the Tiroler Landestheater Innsbruck / Austria. There she appeared in major vocal parts as Composer (»Ariadne auf Naxos«), Olga (»Eugen Onegin«), Fricka (»Rheingold«), Niklausse (»Hoffmanns Erzählungen«), Fatima (»Oberon«), Idamante (»Idomeneo«) and Mère Marie de l’Incarnation (»Les dialogues de Carmélites«).
At the Tyrol Festival in Erl in summer 2014 she sang the part of Waltraute in Wagner’s »Der Ring der Nibelungen«. Other guest engagements led amongst other things to the Theater Erfurt, the Nationaltheater Mannheim as well as the Staatstheater Karlsruhe and Kassel.
In addition to her operatic work Anne frequently performs in concert halls with her repertoire ranging from baroque to modern music. Händels’s »Messiah«, Honegger’s »Le roi David«, the different »Requiem« by Reger, Duruflé and Verdi are among her favourite works as well as Brahms‘ »Alto Rhapsody» and the Passions by Johann Sebastian Bach. During the 2016 symphony concert series in Braunschweig Anne performed Mahler’s »Lied von der Erde«. She is also an enthusiastic Lieder singer and has successfully presented works and song-cycles by Schubert, Brahms, Wolf, Strauss, Wagner and Mahler.
Anne had been a permanent staff member between 2012 and 2017 of Staatstheater Braunschweig / Germany where she successfully continued her career figuring as Brangäne (»Tristan und Isolde«), Dorabella (»Così fan tutte«), Herodias (»Salome«), Maddalena (»Rigoletto«), Charlotte (»Werther«) and Santuzza (»Cavalleria Rusticana«; Concert Performance).
It was, however, her extraordinary performance in lesser-known operas for which she was widely praised in Germany: as Tamiri in Antonio Vivaldi’s »Farnace«, Fidès in Giacomo Meyerbeer’s »Le prophète«, Nelly in Bernard Herrmann’s »Sturmhöhe«, Aase in Werner Egk’s »Peer Gynt« and Elizabeth Proctor in Robert Ward’s »The Crucible«.
Anne has so far worked with the following directors: Dietrich Hilsdorf, Christopher Alden, Brigitte Fassbaender, Roland Schwab, Yona Kim, Gregor Horres, Philipp Kochheim, Guy Montavon and Elisabeth Stöppler and also with the following conductors: Cornelius Meister, Stefan Soltesz, Marcus Bosch, Alexander Joel, Jonas Alber, Christopher Altstaedt, Georg Fritzsch, Christoph Poppen and Gustav Kuhn.
She has been working as a freelancer since 2017 amongst other things in Nikolaus Brass’s „Summer Day“ at the Staatsoper Unter den Linden, Berlin and as Waltraute („The Valkyrie“) at the Chemnitz Opera. In 2018 and 2019 she will be performing in the Chemnitz „Ring des Nibelungen“ as Waltraute and Fricka and at the same house as Mother in „Hänsel und Gretel“.
